As a supply teacher, I become sick in October and I stop being sick around April and I can usually bet on a summer cold in mid July from a few days of working in a pre-school room. I have hand sanitizer that remains in my coat pocket and I use it all of the time, I wash my hands so much that they are constantly dry, and I take a healthy dose of vitamins every day and I still am sick for so long. I have finally decided I need to step up my game and I researched essential oils. I am sure that essential oils are not going to cure the common cold or the seasonal flu but I sleep with a humidifier on every night and having an essential oil to add to the water may just help.

When I was doing research I first looked at the two big essential oil companies: doTerra and Young Living and was shocked at the price of their essential oils and diffusers. There was no way I was paying those prices so I researched further and began looking on Amazon. I noticed that some of the oils that were really cheap were not therapy grade and might actually not be worth paying for but I found a company that sold good quality therapy grade essential oils at a good price through Amazon and on their own web-site.

Edens Garden creates 100% therapeutic grade essential oils and they have great gift sets. I decided to compare their Everyday 100% Pure Essential Oil Gift Set to a similar one from doTerra. The doTerra Family Essentials Kit includes ten 5mL bottles of: lavender, lemon, peppermint, melaleuca, oregano, Frankincense, Deep Blue, doTerra Breathe, DigestZen, and doTerra On Guard for $166.67. The Everyday 100% Pure Essential Oil Gift Set includes twelve 10mL bottles of: Breathe Easier, Cleaning, Fighting Five (similar to Four Thieves), Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Muscle Relief, Peppermint, Purify, Stress Relief, Tea Tree, and Up Lift for $79.95. You get double the amount in each bottle with Edens Garden in comparison with doTerra and you get two more bottles of essential oil.

I ordered my set and have been loving using Breathe Easier in my diffuser which I bought on Amazon for $34.99. The diffuser I purchased is called the Sterline Ceramic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser and I think it is so gorgeous in my living room. It has six colour changes and has an adjustable mist mode. The doTerra Lotus Diffuser is $119.00 which is way too much to pay for a
diffuser in my opinion.
